September: Cancer Awareness Month

September is the Cancer Awareness month when we spread the news about Children Living with cancer. We know it is hard to believe but children does have cancer and a lot of children has been affected with this deadly disease. We try to raise funds for the children by performing different event scheduled throughout the month of September. You too can be a part of this event either by participating directly of by supporting us with any means possible for you.
You can help the children by doing any of the following.:
- Release of gold balloons
- Lectures/seminars/webinars
- Art exhibition/stage production
- Walkathon.
Release of gold balloons
Releasing of gold balloons has been part of the CLWCF tradition for years now. In this event, we will buy as many balloons as possible and share it to people who will display and release it on the given date. It is part of fund raising event to help the children battling with cancer
You can be a part of this event by supporting us provide as many golden balloons as possible. Nothing is too small for this kids, Any small donation from you can go a long way in helping someone’s life.

Lectures/Seminars/Webinars
This is the lecture where professionals in medical field will lecture the masses on the dangers associated with childhood cancers. It is also an interactive live session where the attendees will see and interact with some of the children who survived cancer through the help of CLWCF.
You can support us by attending the lectures and witness the event first hand. You can also be a part of the program by donating anything in support of the lectures without actually attending. Remember, nothing is too small for the cause.
Art Exhibition/Stage Production
This is the event in which some prominent artist donate some special arts dedicated to the Children Living With Cancer Foundation.
In order to raise some funds, the arts are then sold to interested people on the art exhibition date. We have been doing art exhibition on all the Childhood Cancer Awareness month dating back more than 10 years now.
You can participate by coming to the art exhibition and buying some of the art for yourself and in so doing, you will support the children indirectly.
Walkathon
Every year by September, lots of people will always come out for the Walkathon. The walkathon is an awareness creating trekking within Lagos. We always trek from LASU to the National stadium in Idiaraba in Lagos.
This is one of the most effective awareness creating event and people always come out in support of these walkathon. This year’s event will be better and bigger and you are expected to be there in support of the children living with cancer.
Anyone can suffer from cancer but when it befall a child, then it looks really bad. We can help a child with cancer by partaking in any or all of the above activities. No amount of donation is too little to support a child going through pain, you can change their fate today.
