Women Empowerment

Cancer treatment for a child is very stressful both physically, mentally and financially for the parents of the child. Often it’s the mother that takes care of the child during the cancer treatment in the hospital.

Cancer treatment takes a long process it’s not an illness that is cured in one day it takes a long time because the mother spends all her time caring for the child with cancer, she looses her job or business because she doesn’t have the time to keep her job or business this problem made children living with cancer foundation come up with our women empowerment programme.
Children living with cancer empowers the mother or father depending on the situation either with a job or money for business, learn a trade or handwork.

Recently a woman who’s child had cancer had to sell her sewing machine to enable her buy drugs for her child. Dr Temiye helped talk to lion club the club gave the woman 30,000 to replace her sewing machine so she can continue her business.

Another lady was given 2 bags of rice and 30 cartoons of indomie to start up a business by Lion club through children living with cancer foundation.
Our major aim is to empower this women or men so they can go on with their life and take care of their families.
